Powerhouse of Nutrients – Artichoke Tea

On my recent trip to Vietnam, I came across a fruit named Artichoke. It is widely grown in the central region of Vietnam in Dalat. This fruit is used in soups, pickles, meat dishes, desserts, and in many other forms. One very common and popular use of artichokes is to make tea. It is known to be a refreshing and energizing drink.

How is Artichoke Tea Made?

It is made with dried leaves, roots, and fruit of the Artichoke plant. Or either way, you can also make it by steeping the fresh leaf, root, and fruit. You can make your tea or buy readymade tea bags.

Benefits of Artichoke Tea:

Artichoke is known to be a powerhouse of nutrients as it is high in fiber, B-complex vitamins, folate, iron, magnesium, and potassium. Here are a few benefits of drinking artichoke tea regularly:

  • Can help boost immunity.

The antioxidants and other phytonutrients in artichoke tea may help your immune system fight off illness, as well as protect against free radicals. Antioxidants in artichoke tea may also help improve overall health by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress. Studies show that people who drink artichoke tea regularly have lower levels of inflammation than those who don’t drink it.

  • Can help relieve Anxiety.

Drinking this tea is beneficial for people who experience anxiety because it contains compounds such as flavanones, catechins, and phenols which have been shown to reduce stress levels by increasing dopamine levels in the brain and lowering cortisol levels

  • Anti-inflammatory properties

Artichoke leaves contain high levels of fiber and flavonoids that help to fight inflammation caused by free radicals.

  • Anti-aging properties

Artichokes contain antioxidants called cynarin that protect against aging and cell damage. They also have antiestrogenic properties that can help prevent cancer growth from spreading throughout the body.

Side effects of drinking Artichoke Tea

Along with the benefits, some side effects should be noted before drinking this beverage:

Artichoke contains a chemical called cynaroside which is absorbed into the body through food and drinks. This can cause diarrhea in some people if they consume too much at once or if they are sensitive to it. You should only drink small amounts of artichoke tea at one time as it can cause discomfort if you overdo it.

If you have severe kidney problems or diabetes, you should consult your doctor before drinking any type of herbal tea such as this one since it could affect your health adversely if you have these conditions

I am so excited to share with you all that I am fe I am so excited to share with you all that I am featured in your and my favourite store - IKEA!

Last year, I was approached by IKEA to be a part of their campaign called “Store Who You Are".

I had the opportunity to work with their team virtually to bring my storage story to life through pictures and videos. Along with my husband, we created the most beautiful setups in our home, showcasing how I use different products to keep my tea shelf organized and functional. The team at IKEA made a beautiful setup and showcased how I can remake my space for better and more organized storage.

Fast forward to today, I am beyond excited to share that I am now featured on IKEA.com and will be featured in IKEA stores across the globe! Not sure if I would make up to the walls of IKEA Mumbai (where I reside), but hopefully somewhere in India!

Also, a video featuring my story would be soon on IKEA social channels. It’s hard to put into words how surreal this feels.

I never imagined that my passion for writing about tea could lead me to something this big!

I am grateful to each one who helped me reach here!

Swing by this bustling and charming Bistro & Patis Swing by this bustling and charming Bistro & Patisserie in Versova!

@scrumptiiousmumbai in Versova is a delightful age-old restaurant with a cozy atmosphere.

Also, it is a great place for coffee-lovers and romantic dates!

Their menu offers a wide range of Indo-Continental delicacies, including parathas, english breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, sizzlers, pasta, and more.

One of their popular dishes is the Veg Patty Sizzler, which I had the pleasure of trying. It consists of a generous portion of rice, sautéed vegetables, flavorful veg patty, and creamy mashed potatoes, all accompanied by a creamy sauce.

The mocha iced beverage that I tried was just too refreshing and the best to have here if you love coffee!

They also serve delicious desserts like apple tart, eclairs, pastries and more.

Don't miss out on the chance to experience this busy yet charming gem in Versova!

Masala Chai is amongst the most liked teas in Indi Masala Chai is amongst the most liked teas in Indian houses. During monsoon and winter, masala chai tastes even better because of the punch of spices and aroma.

I tried Masala Chai from @danke.tea.foods, and here's my review.

Aroma: Typically, masala chais have a prominent aroma which easily helps one identify the spices in it. Most of these teas may have a spice that may dominate and make or break your entire tea drinking experience. One good thing about Danke Tea Masala Chai is, it has a very balanced aroma of spices.

Ingredients in @danke.tea.foods Masala Tea : Assam CTC Black Leaf Tea, Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Cardamom, Clove, Nutmeg & Dried Ginger.

Color: On brewing, the tea has not very dark color. If you like a dark color of tea, you will have to add more tea leaves and brew for a lesser duration.

Taste: It has the right kick of spices and a sweet finish that will make you crave for more.

Cost: They have packaging of 250gms available on their website which costs 155 Rs i.e. 620 Rs for a kg. As compared to other brands, the cost is quite decent and affordable.

All in all, @danke.tea.foods masala chai is a delightful, spicy and warm cup of tea perfect for the cold days.
