The ambiance is pretty and romantic with Kashmiri Shikara seating. There are also table seatings and a few side seatings with curtains. Soft music playing in the background, adds the perfect touch to a romantic meal.

I tried “Daiyy Bhatt Thal” (Vegetarian 4-course meal) which includes –

Snack:
Nadier Palak Tikki – It is a traditional Lotus Stem and Spinach Tikki served along with mint chutney

Nadier Monje – It is a deep-fried lotus stem fritters that are very crunchy and light.

Curries:
Dum Aloo – The Kashmiri style dum aloo is nutty in flavor potato curry.

Ruwangan Chaaman – It is a paneer recipe made with a rich tomato and milk-based gravy flavored with fennel powder

Nadier Palak – It is a spinach and lotus stem curry. It is mildly spicy and yet very flavorful.

Rajma – Rajma is a curry made with tomato puree and kidney beans.

Accompaniments – Raita Roti, Plain Rice

Sweet Dish:

Phirni – Kashmiri Phirni is made with Semolina and flavored with saffron. It is a light and creamy dessert that is a great way to finish the meal. You can also choose Gulab Jamun instead of Phirni.

Kahwah (Hot/Cold) – It is a Kashmiri tea flavored with cardamom and infused with cloves, cinnamon, and saffron.

Vietnamese Artichoke Tea with Rock Sugar I recent Vietnamese Artichoke Tea with Rock Sugar

I recently got my hands on this amazing rock sugar tea all the way from Vietnam, and guess what? it's delicious and super easy to make. So, let's get started!

First things first, grab your favorite cup and place one of those sweet sugar rocks at the bottom. This rock sugar is special because it adds a unique flavor to the tea that you won't find anywhere else. Plus, it's all-natural and gives a touch of sweetness without being overpowering.

Next, boil some water until it's nice and hot. Pour that hot water into your cup, right over the sugar rock. As the water hits the rock sugar, it slowly melts, releasing its sweet goodness into the tea. It's like a little surprise waiting for you at the bottom of your cup!

Now, take a spoon and give it a good stir. This will help dissolve the remaining sugar and blend all those flavors together. You'll notice how the aroma of artichoke fills the air, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Finally, take a moment to enjoy your creation. Take a sip and let that warm artichoke tea with a hint of sweetness from the rock sugar dance on your taste buds. It's truly a treat for your senses!

I love how this artichoke tea with rock sugar takes me on a journey to Vietnam with every sip. It's like having a little piece of their culture right in my cup.
