Sulaimani Tea is known to have many different origins. Some say it was originated in Kerala, some say it is from Hyderabad, etc. But, I do not know where it originated. I had this tea at a local store in Thane, Mumbai.
If you find on the Internet, you may find various recipes for this tea. It differs from region to region. Some add saffron, some add dates, some add cinnamon, cloves, etc. Sulaimani tea is said to help aid digestion. It is generally served after heavy meals. It also provides instant energy and helps reduce weight.
